President Tinubu Demands Improved Performance from Security Chiefs
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has instructed Nigeria's service chiefs and intelligence leaders to intensify their efforts and adopt more effective tactics in tackling terrorism, banditry, and other growing security risks. He stressed the need for enhanced collaboration, streamlined processes, and sharper implementation of plans in every operational zone.
This command was delivered during a high-level session at the State House in Abuja, reflecting the administration's push to calm unrest in volatile areas and secure tranquillity during the upcoming holiday period.
Key attendees included National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu; Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff Lt.-Gen. Wahidi Shaibu, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Kelvin Aneke; Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lt.-Gen. Emmanuel Undiadeye, Director-General of the Department of State Service, Oluwatosin Ajayi, Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, and Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed.
